Women in the Lead Inc. (WIL) and members of its Board of Directors are grateful for the generous support it has received since its founding as a not-for-profit organization in 2000. We would especially like to thank BMO Financial Group for supporting the fourth, 2008, edition of our directory and online database Women in the Lead/Femmes de Tête. They contain the résumés of approximately 850 accomplished women from a broad spectrum of Canadian business and the professions. Our long association with Richard Ivey School of Business has been further supported by Carol Stephenson, Dean. Without the encouragement and financial assistance of HSBC Bank Canada, Women in the Lead could not have made the remarkable progress it has in the past eight years without the encouragement of these two organizations. They were the founding supporters who saw merit in the concept of a published directory and online database. Financial Women's Association of Quebec (FWA) has played a vital role in the expansion of WIL by initiating the French aspects of the directory and database of which we are particularly proud. Without their active involvement and support the national character of this unique directory would not have been possible. Deloitte has made possible the publishing of WIL's newsletter Leaders of Change in French. Le Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) de l'Université Laval has further strengthened WIL's outreach to Quebec. Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), through its alliance with WIL, has greatly strengthened our mutual mission to help Canadian boards find qualified women to serve as directors. Through strong financial support and inspiring encouragement, many additional companies and organizations have played an important role in furthering the initiatives of WIL.
